Who Is Lexi?

Not despite adversity. Because of it.

Lexi Chambers is a UK Army veteran and former NHS nurse from Exeter. In 2019, faced with debilitating Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, she made the decision to choose a below-knee amputation — an act of defiance and control over a condition that had taken so much from her.

She didn't slow down. She accelerated. Lexi became a seven-time Guinness World Record holder, wheeling over 1,400km from John O'Groats to Land's End in 2024 — pushing the equivalent of Everest 1.5 times in a standard everyday wheelchair.

Now she's setting her sights on something no one has done before: 4,812.2km across the entirety of the United States, coast to coast, in 115 days. Raising funds and awareness in support of military and veteran communities in both the UK and the United States.

Coast to Coast

Starting on the East Coast and finishing on the West, the route covers the full width of the continental United States — terrain, climate, and elevation changing dramatically along the way.

Everyday Wheelchair

No specialist equipment. No racing chair. Lexi uses the same standard wheelchair she relies on every day. It's heavier, less efficient, and harder to push — that's the point.

To complete 4,812.2km in 115 days — the equivalent of 115 marathons — Lexi must average 42km every single day, wheeling a marathon's distance day after day for four months.

The first fundraising objective is therefore to recover the agreed costs committed by Team Forces to delivering the challenge.

Beyond that point, Lexi's ambition is for the remaining funds raised to be shared equally between Team Forces and the Navy SEAL Foundation, creating a charitable benefit for military and veteran communities on both sides of the Atlantic.

Navy SEAL Foundation

The Navy SEAL Foundation provides support to Naval Special Warfare personnel, veterans and their families in the United States. Lexi's ambition is for the Foundation to share equally in the net charitable funds raised by End2EndUSA27 once the agreed costs of delivering the challenge have been covered.

23rd July 2026 — just before stage 19 of the Tour de France

As part of her final preparation for the USA crossing, Lexi took on Alpe d'Huez — the legendary Tour de France climb — in her standard wheelchair. 21 hairpin bends. 13.8km of ascent. A 1,073m elevation gain.

It wasn't a warm-up. It was a statement — and a media moment that built attention and momentum ahead of the main event in March 2027.
